External morphology
Medium-sized leech, common up to 70 mm up in extreme can reach 180 mm. Coloration is dark redish brown to black with lighter ventral side. Have characteristic distirubution of dorsal papillae on dorsal side. Gonopores separated by 2 anulli.

Biology
